Cinnamon Toast Protein French Toast Bake

Cinnamon Toast Protein French Toast Bake

I am obsessed with two things here: french toast and cinnamon toast crunch. Naturally I figured the best decision was to combine the two into one of the most anabolic, delicious protein french toast recipes you have ever seen. I call it Anabolic Cinnamon French Toast Bake.

I actually made this one earlier this year and have just never got around to posting it. I made it shortly after the launch of Macro Supps to test out the new protein and see how amazing it is in french toast, and let me tell you it passed the test with flying colors.

✅French Toast

6 slices bread, preferably slightly stale (any bread is fine, I just used 70 cal white bread)

1 carton (500g) liquid egg whites

1 cup (240mL) unsweetened almond milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 scoop (34g) Macro Supps ONE Protein, vanilla ice cream

1 tsp cinnamon

½ tsp baking powder

¼ tsp salt

sweetener to taste (I used 20g) Truvia

1 cup cinnamon toast crunch cereal (+ more for topping)

✅Cinnamon Chocolate Sauce

1 scoop (34g) Macro Supps ONE Protein, chocolate brownie

1 tbsp (5g) cocoa powder

1 tsp cinnamon

¼ cup (60g) sugar free maple syrup

¼ cup (60mL) unsweetened vanilla almond milk

✅Notes

*If you omit the protein powder, take out ⅓ cup of almond milk.

✅Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400F. Tear bread into small chunks or cut into cubes. Add bread to a large bowl. Add liquid egg whites, almond milk, and vanilla extract. Mix.
  2. Next, add all remaining french toast ingredients and stir the mixture together. Spray a rectangle or square baking dish with nonstick spray. I used a 6x4 dish.
  3. Pour french toast mixture into dish. Sprinkle the top with some extra cinnamon toast crunch. Bake at 400F for 30 minutes.
  4. Once cooked, let cool while you make the cinnamon chocolate sauce. Cut french toast into 4 pieces or 2 large pieces. Top with cinnamon chocolate sauce and enjoy!
